LATEST NEWS 23rd Feb….. The Reserves Surrey Premier Cup Semi Final against Farleigh Rovers has been arranged for Wednesday 4th March at the Waterside Kick off 7.45pm

Tuesday 24th February 2009 - Godalming Town 1 CASUALS 0

A rather disappointing evening on many fronts, following our mini revival recently this defeat was hard to swallow. Godalming took a 22nd minute lead when Ottley’s cross was headed home by Stanley. We started to get into our stride and should have equalised when Kristian Webb squared to Luke Roodenburg 8 yards out but his tame effort was half saved by Aulsberry, who then saved well at the feet of Michael Barima, minutes later Kristian Webb hooked the ball goalbound but somehow a Godalming defender headed off the line.

We were in full control during the second half, but were unable to make it count against a very nervous home defence. Micheal Cayford’s 25 yard drive was palmed out by Aulsberry and Paul Armstrong followed up into the side netting. We forced a series of corners but were unable to get a clear sight of the goal. Aulsberry saved well late on when a close range Michael Barima bicycle kick was goalbound only for him to tip it over.
